“Ritz-Carlton South Beach X MONAD Studio”
November 17 - November 30
The Ritz-Carlton South Beach has partnered with MONAD Studio, cofounded by local artists Eric Goldemberg and Veronica Zalcberg, to design and display bright and grandiose 3D printed sonic sculpture instruments, including astounding renditions of a piano, a lap guitar and xenophone, a twin serpent, a zhu, a bichord, a slide guitar, and a segmented bass guitar. When the spectacular pieces are not being played, they will be proudly displayed by the Miami Symphony Orchestra at a VIP reception during the exhibition opening, they will be proudly on display at the resort’s glamorous lobby for all Miami Art Week patrons to admire. All art displayed on the property during Art Week – including the inimitable sonic sculptures – will be available for auction beginning Thursday, November 17th through BidAid, an international all-inclusive, silent-auction platform. Proceeds from all purchases will be donated to the Miami City Ballet.
To highlight the exhibition and celebrate its 70th anniversary, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach will also host a private event on Tuesday, November 29, during which the Miami Symphony Orchestra will use Goldemberg’s 3D instruments to perform seven decades of music, including hits by Miami icons Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan and Pitbull, alongside innovative dance performances by Miami City Ballet.
