Upon entering CityPlace Doral\, visitors will be greeted by 186 custom-made overhead hearts\, overhead above the boulevard in a mix of red\, pink\, yellow and purple hues. Designed by Gilded Group Decor\, the sweeping display sets the tone for a summer of love and Instagrammable moments. Guests can capture a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity in front of an oversized heart-shaped lock.  \nThe Oasis experience in the Center’s Fountain Plaza will be adorned with a custom-built bridge that takes the installation to new heights. The structure features four walkable bridges and a center platform\, each bridge side panel finished in a different color to mirror the hearts overhead. Fencing along each panel invites guests to hang their own love locks\, creating a living\, ever-growing display that builds throughout the summer. \nThe Oasis experience at CityPlace Doral’s Fountain Plaza features a relaxing\, open-air atmosphere for friends and family to enjoy grab-and-go bites from CityPlace Doral’s restaurants and enjoy South Florida’s weather. This free summer fine art exhibit exploring Florida’s evolving natural and urban landscapes will feature works by award-winning artist Tim Forman and photographer David Paulo plus contextual historical maps of our timeless state.  \nVisitors to History Fort Lauderdale’s “Timeless Tropics: Florida’s Changing Landscape” will experience Tim Forman’s artfully curated oil on canvas masterworks of the Florida Everglades\, waterscapes\, beachscapes and natural wildlife. These landscapes are complemented by David Paulo’s bold photographic narrative of buildings and neighborhoods in South Florida that are significant to culture and life of minority communities. Documented cities include Sistrunk\, Lauderhill\, and Dania Beach. Historical maps of Florida from pre-Revolutionary War/Spanish Florida in 1749 to British controlled Florida in 1763 to Florida as a U.S. state in 1845 and illustrative panels will context and clarity about our history. \n“Timeless Tropics: Florida’s Changing Landscape” is part of History Fort Lauderdale’s contribution to America’s 250 activities. On July 4\, 2026\, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past\, honor the contributions of all Americans\, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond. \nSupport for History Fort Lauderdale’s “Timeless Tropics: Florida’s Changing Landscape” exhibit has been provided by the following Funds at the Community Foundation of Broward: Jan and Ed Crocker Unrestricted Fund\, Leo M. and Alice J. SUMMARY:South Florida Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Chamber Music Series – Dohnányi & Dvořák
DESCRIPTION:South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) closes out its popular Summer with the Symphony chamber music series with a final intimate candlelit concert in Fort Lauderdale including a special meet-and-greet reception with the musicians.  \nBids a delightful farewell with a “Sweet Serenade.” Dohnányi’s tender Serenade for String Trio and Dvořák’s spirited Piano Quartet No. 2\, Op. 87 unfolds with exquisite lyricism and heartfelt expression\, creating a joyous finale. Musicians Huifang Chen (violin)\, Brando Wu (viola)\, Claudio Jaffe (cello)\, and Catherine Lan (piano) will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday\, July 24\, at Center for Spiritual Living Fort Lauderdale. \nFrom sold-out masterworks performances to accompanying today’s musicians such as Natalie Merchant and Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA to performing modern musical scores including Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and Back to the Future\, featuring the iconic films screened live with audio and musical accompaniment\, South Florida’s largest symphonic orchestra is continuing its journey of excellence inspiring audiences of all ages and musical genres.  \nThe series is presented under the artistic direction of Sebrina María Alfonso\, music director of South Florida Symphony Orchestra\, and curated by SFSO pianist Catherine Lan.
